Joy does not wait for healing.
Joy is the healing.
From What Grief Could Not Take

My journey
I am a storyteller, gardener, and Bharatanatyam dancer, but above all, I am a seeker of joy. For 25 years, I've balanced art, motherhood, and a corporate career, walking through loss, identity shifts, and reinvention.
My journey did have chapters, as an anxious teen with a chronically ill father, navigating financial uncertainty and emotional upheaval. But nothing prepared me for when my firstborn faced a fatal congenital heart disease. Just when I thought the worst was over, life presented another lesson. Single parenting, no job, and my father's passing, all at once. It felt like a dark comedy.
That's when I began to live consciously through B.A.R.S. Beauty helped me soften and see grace amidst chaos. Art became the anchor through which my emotions could breathe. Rhythm brought me home to myself, to take that "one next step." Stories gave meaning to pain, turning fragments into wisdom.
B.A.R.S. is not a magical formula for healing. It is about the willingness to show up in small, consistent ways for yourself, again and again. It allows you to rebuild yourself one tiny step at a time, until one day you find that your life has been built on what is most aligned to you.
A desk painted a different color. A walk taken instead of skipped. A page written instead of avoided. A flower enjoyed. A movement. A hug. A kiss. Everything counts when done with awareness.
If you are standing in your own version of that chaos, you do not have to wait for a closure that never comes. Start with one act, this week, however small. It will not undo what happened to you. But it will prove that you can still choose joy.
