Container Gardening: Life Lessons from the Garden

One of the lessons I’ve learned through container gardening is that when you load a pot with 4-5 different plants (thriller, spiller, filler concept), it actually reduces the need for maintenance. Less space for weeds, more beauty in one pot.

But there’s a deeper lesson here, too. Nature abhors a vacuum. If there’s too much empty space between plants, weeds will grow. The same goes for our minds. If we don’t fill our minds with a mix of positive thoughts and creativity, negativity will inevitably take root. No matter how crazy it sounds, keeping your mind focused on joy, creative ideas, and positivity is essential. Otherwise, we risk becoming overrun by thoughts as useless as weeds.

One caveat: if your mind is totally thoughtless, you’re probably not on Instagram anyway! You’ll be in nirvana!
